How to heal the wounds that plague American society? Does the United States risk disintegration? On the eve of the presidential election campaign to be held on Tuesday 8 November 2016 (Election Day), the Fondation des Etats-Unis and the Maison de l’Italie organize a debate in the presence of Giuseppe Cassini, former Italian diplomat, business and international relations expert, around his book La 17ᵃ Agenzia which expresses his point of view on the workings of power in the United States. With the participation of the Franco-American political scientist Nicole Bacharan, well known by the French television audience and Enrico Letta, former Italian Prime Minister (2013-2014). The debate will be moderated by journalist Daniel Vernet, founder of Boulevard Extérieur and former editor of Le Monde.
