Lusi Xie | Printempo

This year for her Printempo concert, Lusi Xie invites us on a journey through the ages with works by Beethoven, Schumann, and Poulenc.

The majestic piano will be the focal point of the upcoming concert at the Fondation des Etats-Unis. The audience will be transported through different musical eras and styles. The first stop will be Beethoven’s Sonata Opus 26 which is bold and intense and is most well known today as a famous funeral march. The next stop is Schumann’s Opus 2 “Papillons” which will surely win over the audience with its enchanting melody. Finally, the audience will experience Poulenc’s Three Pieces for Piano which evokes a world of imagination and memories. Printempo will be a concert for music and piano lovers, where each note will take the audience closer towards infinity.

The Artist

Lusi Xie is a pianist in residence at the FEU since 2022. Originally from Shenzhen, she won several awards in China, notably one from Junan University in China in 2022 where she was recognized for her brilliant musicality. While in Paris, she studied piano with Pierre Etcheverry and Ramic Ienissei at the Ecole Normale de Paris, she also attended the masterclass of François Buffet. Since 2022, Lusi Xie has been participating in FEU concerts, especially the Rendez-Vous Musical series.
