The Sounds of Revolution: America 250 in Opera

The award-winning American ensemble Really Spicy Opera returns to Paris for a powerhouse showcase of music from new operas exploring the American Revolution. Experience the burning of the Peggy Stewart in the Annapolis Tea Party of 1775! Witness the drama as families are divided by war! Be dazzled with Benjamin Franklin as he experiences Paris during the war through wide eyes – all these and more! Come for a pre-concert lecture on the connections between Franklin, Lafayette, and Edgar Allan Poe’s family, and stay for a musical celebration uniting alums of USA-France exchange programs.
