Come discover the work of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi !
On April 9th, at the Fondation des États-Unis, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater will resonate—a masterpiece filled with emotion and intensity. Pergolesi transforms Mary’s sorrow at the foot of the cross into music that is both powerful and simple, intimate and captivating, exploring universal themes of sadness, compassion, hope, and redemption.
The performance brings together musicians—alumni or soon-to-be graduates of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, the École Normale de Musique de Paris, the CRR de Versailles, and the Manhattan School of Music—in an expressive dialogue between voices and instruments. Whether you are discovering the work for the first time or have heard it ten times before, the Stabat Mater moves, surprises, and continually reveals new nuances.
