Who is Zuzanna ?
Zuzanna Winiarska is an architect and interdisciplinary creator based in Paris. Her initial training in music and fine arts gave her a distinctive sensitivity to artistic and cultural forms of expression. She then pursued her academic path at the Cracow University of Technology, within the Faculty of Architecture, before joining the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Belleville.
Throughout her studies, she collaborated on various projects and workshops in several countries, notably in Europe and Asia, thereby enriching her multidimensional approach. Her practice combines architectural thinking and artistic creation, with a particular interest in the impact of the Anthropocene and social dynamics within urban space. Photography, which she views as a tool for exploration and analysis, allows her to engage with the human dimension of cities. Drawing also occupies a dual place in her work: both a technical tool for the architect and a medium for personal expression, it preserves traces of an intimate memory.
In April 2023, she founded the Cité Internationale Photo Club, an open platform for residents wishing to experiment with photography as a means of urban investigation. This project brought together more than 80 participants from 28 different houses and culminated in the exhibition Balades Photographiques during the 2024 Fête de la Cité, with support from the 2024 Residents’ Initiatives Fund.
Zuzanna has also been awarded twice the “Merit and Engagement” Scholarship Program of the Cité Internationale Universitaire, under the auspices of BNP Paribas Real Estate.
