Sanghee Kim

Sanghee Kim is a South Korean artist and doctoral researcher in Geography at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, affiliated with Géographie-cités (CRIA). Her research explores the intersections of artistic practices, diasporic experiences, queer perspectives, and urban public spaces in Paris.

Trained in scenography and visual arts at HEAR (Haute école des arts du Rhin) in Strasbourg, she develops an interdisciplinary practice combining performance, installation, participatory approaches, and artistic research. Her current doctoral project, Être-frontières (Being Border), examines borders not only as geographical boundaries but also as lived, embodied, and relational experiences.

Her work moves between artistic creation and academic research, with a particular interest in questions of identity, belonging, displacement, and urban space.
