Alessia Beni

Alessia Beni, born in Florence, is an Italian multidisciplinary artist exploring the intersection between scenography, curatorial practice, spatial design and photography. She holds a Double Master’s degree in Interior Architecture from Politecnico di Milano and the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture Paris Val de Seine, complemented by studies in visual design and audiovisual practice. Her path unfolds across different cultural and geographical contexts, Italy, France, Portugal, Armenia and Germany, through collaborations with design studios, creative direction, and curatorial projects. She has exhibited her work and developed a curatorial practice focused on exhibition curation and the creation of installations, developing a creative process that integrates photography, painting, objects and research through symbolic materials. Her artistic practice develops through the relationship between space, matter, and perception, using installations as spaces of intimacy, inquiry and shared experience. As a resident artist at the Fondation des États-Unis, Alessia develops a research-based practice centered on doubt, introspection, choices and the exploration of the self through multiple perspectives, considering identity as a living matter within memory and contemporaneity.
