Bluegrass & Old-Time Workshop with the Sawmill Sessions

The Sawmill Sessions offer a weekend of workshops on April 29 and 30 at the Fondation des Etats-Unis with instruments: Banjo Bluegrass (Guillaume Leriche), Banjo Old-Time (Paolo Conti), Guitar (Jimmy Josse), Mandoline (Glenn Arzel), Chant (Claire Nivard), Harmonica (David Chalumeau), Fiddle (Thierry Lecocq) and Dobro (Paolo Conti). The opportunity to discover or perfect your skills in the Bluegrass and Old-Time styles, in a studious and warm atmosphere and for a reduced blow. Dates and times: Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 from 10am to 7pm Instrument lessons (group): duration 3h45 Group workshops: duration 2h30 Plus jam and participants concert on Sunday at 5pm

For 1 instrument: 40€ / 30€ students-unemployed
For 2 instruments: 60€ / 40€ students-unemployed

Residents of the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris (upon presentation of a residence card)

Concert at the End of the Workshop

This concert will allow the participants of the workshop to put into practice the elements learned during these two days and represents for an amateur audience of Bluegrass and Old-Time music an opportunity to listen to a concert of amateur and passionate musicians in the beautiful setting of the Grand Salon of the Foundation.
