“Stories!” by Laura Francese and Marius Buet | Art-Hop-Polis

Stories! is an exhibition by Laura Francese and Marius Buet, both currently in residence at the Fondation des Etats-Unis. Their paintings and drawings tell stories that sometimes take unexpected paths. These “stories”, which can be based on anecdotes or grand narratives, attempt to explore new forms of narration. Stories! is an insight into their research and discoveries and creative process.

About the Artists

Born in Angoulême in 1994, Laura Francese completed her BA in Art History and Archeology at the Ecole du Louvre. She is currently studying at the  Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, where she is developing her interests in visual arts and design.

Marius Buet was born in Suresnes in 1995. After studying literature in prep-school and at the Sorbonne, he attended the Ateliers de Sèvres to prepare his application to the Beaux-Arts, where he currently works in Joann Sfar’s Studio.
