Fighting Discrimination

As part of the week against discrimination from 9 to 16 December, the Mozaïk Fondation with the support of the United States Embassy in Paris and the Fondation des Etats-Unis, is organizing a breakfast conference on the theme: “Fighting discrimination, beyond legal constraints, a strategic issue for business and society. Crossed Glances France – United States” at the Fondation des Etats-Unis on December 14, 2017 from 9am to 11:30am.

“There is no greater injustice than to treat unequal things equally.” says Aristotle in Politics. Centuries later, the concepts of affirmative action in the American way or positive discrimination in the French way were born. But do they guarantee real equality in society and business in the 21st century? Our legal, institutional and business stakeholders will share their expert views and answer your questions.

Speakers

Lisa Schnall, Special Advisor to the Office of the Legal Counsel of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She assists the Commission in developing guidance and related publications, delivers speeches and training on federal anti-discrimination laws in employment, provides technical assistance to employers and employees, and coordinates employment discrimination issues with government agencies.
