Une Histoire de Terre : Green, Blue and Red Earth | Art-Hop-Polis

For the first Art-Hop-Polis edition of the 2022-23 cultural season, we invite you to a retrospective of works by Bertille de Baudinière, artist and FEU alumna (1983-1985). Une Histoire de Terre brings together three series of works – Green, Blue and Red Earth – exhibited over the past ten years, featuring compositions of earth and the colors that flow from it. Virtual tour of the exhibition availaible down below.

Attracted by the Earth, my work revolves around its 3 colors: green, blue and red. I choose small amounts of earth collected in different parts of the world, mix them with casein, and fix them on the canvas. Then, gravity no longer exists.

Here it is suspended, this earth, on a wall: vertical, weightless.
