Love Labo’s Residency Opening – “InstantT2020”

The company Love Labo, directed by choreographer and performance artist Nathalie Broizat, is pleased to welcome you at a residency opening on Thursday, February 20th at 7pm, at the Fondation des États-Unis, to present the work in progress for its next show: InstantT2020. The company Love Labo has been in residence at the Fondation des États-Unis since 2015. Nathalie Broizat lived in the United States for 10 years, and her work is a fusion of her American and French experience in performance and choreography. In InstantT2020, a piece for 10 dancers, Love Labo seeks to mobilize the intensity of the moment through games of collages, assemblages and ruptures, creating a universe close to a dream. During this presentation, you will discover some excerpts from the piece, and Nathalie Broizat will talk about the genesis of this creation.

The Company Love Labo

Love Labo is directed by choreographer and performance artist Nathalie Broizat. She creates a unique style of performance inspired by the 10 years she spent in the United States, including one year as a Fulbright grantee. Nathalie Broizat inherited Rachel Rosenthal’s DbD (Doing by Doing) technique, which she continues to develop both through performance and workshops, while merging it with her own style. Since 2015, Love Labo has been in residency at the Fondation des Etats-Unis at the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris, where Nathalie Broizat develops the DbD Workshops. Her next creation, InstantT2020, for 10 dancers, will be created for the Ardanthé festival in Vanves in March 2020 and previewed at the Danse Dense festival, which supports Love Labo.
