Ronnie Lynn Patterson & Peter Giron Duo | Festival Jazz à la Cité

The FEU is delighted to participate in the eighth edition of the Jazz à la Cité festival (October 9-25) and to welcome the Ronnie Lynn Patterson & Peter Giron Duo.

Ronnie Lynn Patterson is a Parisian from Mississippi. He was born in 1958 in Wichita. As an eclectic colorist, he mixes classical and blues in an open and inventive coherence that mixes Rachmaninov and Keith Jarrett, McCoy Tyner and Morton Feldman. His polyglot curiosity (he speaks Basque and Yiddish, among others) has led him to work with Martial Solal, with Aldo Romano, Beñat Achiary as well as with Jeff Boudreaux.

Peter Giron was born 1952 in New York City. He brings together the blues of Luther Allison, Charles Earland and Archie Shepp alongside Kurt Elling, Dave Liebman, Ted Curson, Rhoda Scott, Hal Singer and Kirk Lightsey. Pedagogue and tireless performer, he leads a trio with Jobic Le Masson and John Betsch.
