Who is Bibi ?

Dutch soprano Bibi Simons has been living in New York for the past three years. Her voice is distinguished by a warm, nuanced timbre, enhanced by charming coloratura that captivates audiences. In May 2024, she earned her Master of Music in Classical Voice from the Manhattan School of Music. Prior to that, she completed her Bachelor of Music at the Fontys Academy of the Arts in the Netherlands and specialized in French vocal repertoire at the Conservatoire de Versailles.

Bibi has performed operatic roles and concert works throughout Europe and the United States. She has appeared on prestigious stages such as the Dutch National Opera, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Berlin Opera Academy, the Savonlinna Music Academy, the Plaza Hotel in New York, and the Cité Internationale in Paris.

Her recent roles include Despina in Così fan tutte (Mozart) and Zora in Svadba (Sokolović). She has also performed Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Barbarina (Le Nozze di Figaro), and Fortuna (L’incoronazione di Poppea).

As the founder and choir director of the International House Choir in New York, Bibi brings together more than 40 singers from over 20 different countries. She is deeply committed to making music accessible and to fostering intercultural dialogue through her work as a singer and choral conductor.
